Magnolia Acuminata
cucumber magnolia is an endangered tree in Ontario. It is an excellent tree for a large landscape and naturalizing. It has a reputation for being hard to transplant but has adapted well to the rootmaker bags. It grows best in slightly acid deep loamy well drained soil. It does not tolerate wet soils or extreme drought, grows in sun or part shade. It must not be planted too deep The yellow flowers are slightly fragrant, greenish yellow and tend to be obscured by foliage in May to early June
