About Us

Nettlecreek Nursery, family owned and operated for over 20 years, specializes in natives and hardy Asian plants. We are located in Niagara's historic St. John’s Valley, midway between Lakes Ontario and Erie. The nursery borders a Carolinian forest full of liriodendron, flowering dogwoods, lindera and hickory trees. Come see our 4 acre garden featuring 30 year old specimens of rare and unusual trees and shrubs. We are usually open 9 till 6 PM just phone ahead (289 501 1295) to make sure.

Nettlecreek offers a wide choice of plants that will provide you multiple seasons of interest beyond their floral display. The brilliant fall colours of Cornus kousa, Liquidambar, Parrotia, and Disanthus are showier than their bloom while the fruits of beautyberry, ilex and viburnum look beautiful in the fall/winter garden. For winter interest the multi-coloured bark of Stewartia, Cornus kousa, Parrotia, River birch, as well as lacebark, paperbark and triflower maples is hard to beat.

Many of our plants are grown using the Rootmaker TM growing system to provide superior roots and minimal transplant shock. We grow from seeds, cuttings and liners providing the customer with 4", 12" and 24" rootmaker bag sized plants priced from $10.00 to $400.00. We ship smaller plants by mail order on Monday or Tuesday.

Mike, Marian and Pam Little welcome you to Nettlecreek nursery and thank you for your interest.
